   I purchased VISA gift cards for my grandchildren at Wells Fargo. You can buy any denomination. They are able to take these cards anywhere they wish and spend them. You can even have their name placed on the card like a credit card, although to do this, you need to special order them. It takes around a week.
   They really liked having their own card, and that way they were able to choose where they wished to shop.

   It is a prepaid or gift credit card. Just go to the web site of any major bank that offers credit cards and you will find them. They are issued by all of the major credit card companies. There is a service charge of a few dollars to issue it and some are rechargeable.

   You people are not reading the question!
   Not ALL stores take gift cards or credit cards.
   Some ONLY take CASH.
